Web-KE Group Meetings are bi-weekly seminars which are for discussions on research progress around Web-scale Knowledge Representation, Retrieval and Reasoning at International WIC Institute (WICI). The Seminars are open to everyone who is interested in related topics.
Web-KE Group Meeting 10-9-2010
- Arrangement for new members (Yi Zeng, Joshua Shinavier, Xuyan Wang, Xiaolong Guo)
(1) Possibility for Joshua to work on Transformer for LarKC. (2) Xuyan and Xiaolong reading the book QAI and Java.
- Twitter rank project discussion (Yi Zeng, Lulin Zhao)
- Cyber-I project discussion (Yi Zeng, Yunfei Ma)
(1) Investigating on Temporal reasoning. (2) Affiliation and time might be interesting on LinkedIn. (3) DBLP authors and Facebook friends might be used for possible followers as well as relationships of friends in Twitter. (4) Data integration of DBLP and publication list on home pages. (5) Recent Activity in Twitter can be used to extract user interests and social network. (6) Ask Cong about Twitter Interest program. (7) Input user name, search on google "user name + homepage", download the hompage automatically and hierarchically (ask Cong).
