I am generally interested in Artificial Intelligence, Web Intelligence, and the Semantic Web. My current research interests focus on the following directions:

• User interests modeling, acquisition and application on the Web.
• Web Knowledge representation, retrieval and reasoning.
• Common sense domain knowledge acquisition and representation.
• Cognitive models for Web applications (maily focus on cognitve memory)

• The slides (in English) and audio records (in Chinese) for my talk "Research Interests: Their Dynamics, Distribution and Applications on the Social Web" at CIKMM2011 workshop can be downloaded from the workshop website.

• LinTY is online. A personalized search engine we developed that is aimed at changing "The Web" to "YOUR Web". It extracts "real-time interests from a specific user's Twitter" and utilizes them as contextual information for general Web search.

• Slides for my invited talk at Microsoft Research Asia NLC Group "Research Interests : Their Dynamics, Structures and Applications in Personalized Web Search", Oct 29, 2010.

• Version 0.3 of the DBLP Search Support Engine (DBLP-SSE) has been released on August 5th, 2010. Now the system adopts AJAX and provides personalized Amazon book search based on authors' research interests.

• Research Interests : Their Dynamics, Structures and Applications in Web Search Refinement is about the dynamical and statistical characteristics of research interests. These characteristics is used in personalized search systems. The paper is published in Proceedings of the 2010 IEEE/WIC/ACM International Conference on Web Intelligence.

• "Social Relation Based Search Refinement: Let Your Friends Help You!" utilizes social relations to help authors refine litereature search. It is published in Proceedings of the 2010 International Conference on Active Media Technology.

• Version 0.2 of the user interest description vocabulary "e-foaf:interest" based on the FOAF vocabulary is produced. A paper that introduces the defined vocabulary and its utilization in personalized search is published in Proceedings of the 2010 International Conference on Active Media Technology.

• The new version of "Computer Scientists' Research Interests" dataset based on the DBLP dataset has been released by the LarKC Project, and the DBLP-Search Support Engine Website. Please check out the new interest descriptions for the Computer Scientists all over the world! In the new version, we utilize the "e-foaf:interest" vocabulary to describe user interests from various perspectives.

• "Unifying Web-scale Search and Reasoning from the Viewpoint of Granularity" and "The Quest for Parallel Reasoning on the Semantic Web" has been published in Proceedings of the 2009 International Conference on Active Media Technology. These two papers are joint work between our institute and Vrije University Amsterdam under the LarKC project.
